5 Reasons to be Thankful for Rutgers University

After surviving the stress of midterms, students are looking forward to unwinding and relaxing with friends and family over Thanksgiving break. While Thanksgiving prides itself on food and football, it also serves as a reminder to reflect and remember all that we have to be thankful for. As a student at Rutgers University, there are a lot of different things that Rutgers has made me thankful for.

1) My Friends:

I have met all my best friends at Rutgers. From late night study sessions, to cheering at Rutgers football games, to dorm movie nights, these people have become my family, and I will be forever grateful for them and the memories we have shared together.

2) The Food:

One of the unique aspects of Rutgers is the endless food options. Easton Ave is home to a variety of cuisines from any culture imaginable. We are also home to the dangerously delicious fat sandwich.

3) Rutgers’ Professors:

As a student attending a big university, I was nervous about becoming simply a number among the crowd. However, the professors at Rutgers make an active effort to get to know their students. They are always offering opportunities to receive extra help and advise students on potential career paths.

4) 5 Campus System:

Rutgers is divided into five different campuses, each with its own personality. This layout makes Rutgers so unique, giving students the opportunity to explore different environments where everyone can find the place that is suited for them.

5) Rutgers’ Education

Rutgers is ranked the #17 public school in the United States by U.S. News and World Report. With highly acclaimed academics, Rutgers students are well prepared to enter their chosen professional fields with all the tools and knowledge that they need to be successful.
