A Day in My Life: Living on Cook Douglass

So in my opinion Cook/Douglass is under appreciated. I love this campus so much and I can’t imagine living anywhere else. Its so beautiful and peaceful and relaxing. Its like a getaway from the stress of college (my classes are on different campuses). So I compiled several pictures of Cook/Douglass.

So I live in Jameson Hall which is one of the DRC houses. Most of the Global Villages are here and its a beautiful place to live. In addition Cabaret Theater is also part of Jameson although you can’t see it in this picture. I get to wake up to this view of the courtyard as I rush to class.

So I see this tree on my way to the College Hall bus stop. At this time, the tree was in full bloom and look so gorgeous. So I couldn’t resist not taking a picture.

So this is the actual College Hall building. All I know about this building is that I go in here for academic advising and the doors are super heavy. But I pass by this building all the top to go to my class in the Biological Sciences building. This is such a gorgeous building that I get to pass everyday.

So I took this picture on my way back from the gym. I just passed through the mini forest and I thought the colors of the sky looked gorgeous. I pass through here nearly every day whether I come from the gym or the dining hall.

This is a picture of the Douglass Post Office. It was on the same trip as the picture before, and I thought the sunset was beautiful. It is the perfect day to end the day.

Cook/Douglass is beautiful. While I don’t really understand the Cook side, I love living on this campus. There are some downsides such as the REXL and the REXB, but in my opinion the benefits outweigh the costs.
