What’s the best part of Thanksgiving? The Food..
I’m just kidding. I have to mention all the great things that I’ve encountered during this special celebration, most importantly spending time with the American part of the family again and enjoying their company.
It was my second Thanksgiving. In Europe we do not celebrate this holiday: not because we do not have anything to be thankful for, but because we did not have such episode of history. We also don’t celebrate other typical American holidays such as 4th of July, because we have the 3rd of May instead, which has the same function.
This year my celebrations were quite traditional. Altogether with my sister, brother-in-law and my two little nephews we went to NYC to see the 90th Macy’s parade. 6th Ave was filed with balloons of an enormous size…
To my surprise, we were not stuck in traffic. Maybe because everyone was getting ready for the Black Friday the following day.
Celebrating thanksgiving really made me think about things I am thankful for this year. It’s really been an incredible one, but I’ll save this opportunity for Christmas, because that’s when we usually do it in my family. For now, I just want to thank you for following my stories. It’s been an amazing year so far!
